Statement of Professional Interests and Therapeutic Orientation

Primarily interested in providing individual, couple/marriage, family and group psychotherapy/ psychodrama and administering diagnostic evaluations with both inpatient and outpatient
populations. Prefer to work as part on a multi-disciplinary team or in a group private practice.

Therapeutic orientation is primarily eclectic and holistic incorporating psychodynamic, (family) systems, and cognitive-behavioral conceptualizations but with special sensitivity toward a Person-Centered approach and with groups Moreno’s Triadic System of Psychodrama,
Sociometry, and Group Psychotherapy approach, within a Christian framework. Major
interests are in the individual and interpersonal relationships and all orientations and
approaches incorporating and emphasizing the health of a person and his/her relationships
yet also appreciating the "spiritual," emotional, cognitive and physical aspects of his/her
functioning. Specialty interests include (religious) faith related issues, the treatment modality
known as Action Methods or Clinical Psychodrama, and treatment of psychological trauma.
Treatment is tailored to the needs of the individual and primacy is given to short-term
approaches when they are applicable. Populations served include adults, adolescents, and children.
